Programs
The following Program categories are subject to change. These designations depend on enrollment numbers. All programs will include age-appropriate community service, wudu and salah instruction, dua, surah, Hadith and Sunnah study, Qur’an study and Islamic history.

Our Starters program is for our youngest students and serves as a preparation for the Elementary level of instruction. Emphasis is placed on Arabic alphabets and their correct pronunciation, basic Duas, memorization of short surahs with general themes identified, introduction to salah and introductory Islamic Studies. There is no writing requirement in the class.

In our Elementary program, students will receive textbooks and workbooks to guide them with Islamic Studies exercises. Emphasis is placed on surah memorization with specific themes, wudu and salah study with etiquette, and prophets’ stories. Basic writing and reading skills are required.

Upper Elementary students will continue an in-depth Islamic Studies program with a textbook and workbook, memorize and have basic understanding of selected surahs, learn the basics about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), begin their study of Hadith, identify Islamic values to shape character. Intermediate writing and reading skills are required.

At this level, girls and boys are separated to continue their Islamic studies. Students will delve deeper into the meanings of memorized surahs and their historical significance. Students will work in cooperative groups to work on projects to demonstrate knowledge and comprehension. Basic Islamic Fiqh, Sirah, and Islamic history will be explored. A deeper dive into Hadith and Sunnah will be included.

At this level, students will continue their Islamic Studies program with a deeper understanding and historical significance to surahs that are memorized. A more involved look at Islamic Fiqh, Tadhib, and Akhlaq to help in Islamic character building. Discussions and theory with supporting stories and biographies will be implemented to promote understanding.

Students will be expected to participate in discussions with sound Islamic support. Additionally, current events discussions focusing on the significance and impact of these events for Islam and Muslims.
